Tuning Fork Foundations In-Person Certification Course
The Art + Science of Frequency, Regulation, and Resonance
Wild Ginger Apothecary | Sarasota, Florida
There is a big difference between owning a set of tuning forks and understanding how to work with them intentionally. Tuning forks may look simple, but the work is incredibly nuanced. Where you place them matters, how you activate them matters, how you listen matters, and perhaps most importantly, how you observe and respond to the person in front of you matters.
The instrument creates the vibration. You create the experience.
The Tuning Fork Foundations Certification was created to give you a grounded, practical understanding of tuning fork work while helping you develop the awareness, confidence, and hands-on experience needed to begin incorporating frequency and vibration into individual wellness sessions.
This Training Is for You If...
You feel drawn to tuning forks but want more than a collection of techniques or protocols.
You want to understand what you are doing, why you are doing it, and how to adapt your work to the person in front of you.
You may be:
-
New to tuning forks and ready to build a strong foundation
-
A sound practitioner wanting to expand into individual sessions
-
A massage therapist or bodyworker
-
An energy practitioner
-
A coach or wellness professional
-
A yoga, meditation, breathwork, or somatic facilitator
-
Someone interested in sound, frequency, vibration, resonance, and nervous system regulation
-
A curious student who wants to explore tuning forks for personal or professional use
You do not need previous tuning fork experience. You do not need to memorize frequencies before you arrive. And you definitely do not need to understand every piece of the science before you begin.
Come ready to listen, explore, practice, ask questions, and experience what vibration can teach you.
This Is Not a Memorize-the-Protocol Training
You will learn protocols. But protocols are only one piece of this work. You will also learn how to listen.
How to observe. How to adjust.
How to recognize when less may be more.
How different placements, frequencies, rhythms, and approaches can change the experience.
And how to begin developing your own relationship with the instruments rather than simply following a script.
Because tuning fork work is not about doing the exact same thing to every person who lies on your table. It is about having a strong foundation and learning how to work from it.
What You Will Learn
During this two-day training, we will explore:
Foundations of Sound, Frequency & Resonance
-
Sound, vibration, frequency, resonance, and entrainment
-
How vibration travels through the body
-
Basic principles of nervous system regulation
-
The relationship between listening, awareness, and response
-
How rhythm, vibration, and sound can influence an experience
-
The role of intention without making unsupported therapeutic claims
-
Understanding frequency as one part of a larger whole
Working with Tuning Forks
You will gain hands-on experience exploring different ways tuning forks can be used, including:
-
Working around the body
-
Working with vibration directly on the body
-
Activating and handling tuning forks properly
-
Placement, pressure, pacing, and timing
-
Moving between areas of the body
-
Creating intentional session flow
-
Recognizing when to continue, adjust, pause, or simplify
We will work extensively with weighted tuning forks, including two Ohm forks for on-body applications.
Listening & Ear-Based Practices
Tuning forks are not only something we feel.
They are something we listen to.
We will explore ear-based sound practices including:
-
Bilateral listening
-
Switching between ears
-
Sound awareness and perception
-
Pacing and spacing
-
Creating a balanced listening experience
-
Observing how a participant responds
You will experience these practices yourself before learning how to facilitate them for someone else.
Working with the Nervous System
This training is not about claiming that one frequency will magically fix a specific problem.
Instead, we will explore how sound, vibration, rhythm, pacing, repetition, silence, and presence may support relaxation, awareness, grounding, and regulation.
You will learn to think beyond:
“What frequency should I use?”
and begin asking:
“What is happening in this person right now?”
“What am I noticing?”
“What might support this experience?”
That shift changes everything.
Therapeutic Drumming Integration
Rhythm can pair beautifully with tuning fork work.
You will learn how intentional drumming can be incorporated into individual sound sessions, including two foundational drumming protocols.
We will explore:
-
Rhythm and regulation
-
Grounding through percussion
-
Pacing and repetition
-
Using drumming as part of a session rather than simply adding another instrument
-
Transitioning between vibration, rhythm, and stillness
A Remo Buffalo Drum is one of the instruments Becky commonly recommends for this work.
Creating a 1:1 Session
Individual work is different from facilitating a group sound bath.
You have one person in front of you.
That creates an opportunity to listen more closely, personalize your approach, and respond to what is actually happening during the session.
You will learn how to:
-
Welcome and prepare a client
-
Discuss what the session may involve
-
Establish consent and choice
-
Create a clear beginning, middle, and end
-
Work intentionally rather than rushing through techniques
-
Transition between tuning forks and other sound tools
-
Observe responses throughout the session
-
Close and ground the experience
We will also explore a brief 1:1 session demonstration so you can see how the individual pieces come together.
Developing Your Own Style
There is no single perfect tuning fork session. This training is not designed to teach you one rigid sequence that you repeat forever.
You will learn foundational techniques and protocols, but you will also learn how to begin working with awareness, curiosity, and responsiveness.
Over time, your experience will help you discover the pacing, language, techniques, and combinations that feel authentic to the way you work.
Technique gives you structure. Awareness teaches you when to change it.
Ethics, Scope & Responsible Practice
Working with sound and vibration requires clear boundaries.
We will discuss:
-
Scope of practice
-
Consent and participant autonomy
-
Responsible language around sound and frequency
-
Avoiding unsupported medical or healing claims
-
Knowing when something is outside your professional scope
-
Session communication
-
Waivers and basic client documentation
-
Creating appropriate expectations
-
Integrating tuning forks into an existing wellness practice
You will learn how to talk about this work clearly without promising outcomes you cannot guarantee.
What Can You Do After Certification?
After completing the training, you will have the foundational education and practical experience to begin developing individual tuning fork and sound-based sessions.
Depending on your existing training, professional scope, and interests, you may choose to incorporate tuning forks into:
-
Individual sound sessions
-
Massage or bodywork
-
Energy-based practices
-
Meditation sessions
-
Somatic or embodiment work
-
Coaching or wellness experiences
-
Relaxation and grounding sessions
-
Existing holistic wellness services
-
Standalone tuning fork experiences
Your certification is not the end of your learning. It gives you the foundation from which deeper practice can begin.
You Will Learn by Experiencing the Work
One of the most important parts of this training is receiving the practices yourself.
Before you can understand what it means to place a tuning fork near someone's ear, work with vibration on the body, introduce rhythmic drumming, or move between frequencies, you need to experience those sensations from the other side of the table.
Throughout the weekend you will rotate between practicing, receiving, observing, discussing, and refining.
You will have opportunities to notice:
-
What different vibrations feel like
-
How placement changes the experience
-
How volume and proximity matter
-
How pacing influences your response
-
What happens when there is too much stimulation
-
What happens when there is space
-
How silence becomes part of the session
-
How your own presence influences the work
This is where information becomes understanding.

Meet Your Instructor
Becky Moriarty
Becky Moriarty is an experienced practitioner and instructor of sound and vibrational therapies, tuning fork practices, mindfulness, embodiment, and integrative wellness.
She began exploring sound healing in 2019, and sound has since become one of the central threads running through both her personal practice and professional work.
Her background spans more than two decades in wellness, including many years as a licensed massage therapist, along with experience in energy work, mindfulness, meditation, somatic practices, movement, coaching, and sound-based practices.
That bodywork background strongly influences the way Becky approaches tuning forks.
Rather than seeing the body as something to perform a protocol on, she teaches students to slow down, observe, listen, and develop greater awareness of the person they are working with.
Today, Becky teaches sound healing and tuning fork certification programs, facilitates group and individual sound experiences, and helps students understand both the practical and experiential sides of working with vibration.
Her teaching blends education with exploration, science with lived experience, structure with intuition, and technique with one principle that sits at the heart of her work:
You are the most important instrument you will ever work with.

You Don't Need to Know Everything Before You Begin
You are not supposed to. This training is where you begin asking better questions.
Where you start understanding what you are hearing and feeling.
Where you develop confidence activating the forks, working with another person, experimenting with placement, noticing responses, and putting the individual pieces together.
You will leave with protocols and practical tools.
But more importantly, you will leave with a stronger understanding of how to listen.
To the instrument.
To the person in front of you.
And to yourself.
